As one would expect of a Cornish pub, the bar is full of character and very much at the hub of the community.
Located on the village square, it becomes the ‘temporary’ HQ for special events, e.g. Morris Dancing and Gig Racing. It is also a favourite stopping place for visitors walking the South West Coastal Path.
We quench all types of thirsts (!) but with a special emphasis on real ale. We always have at least three cask ales at any given time. By rotating them frequently we attract continual interest from our local connoisseurs and visitors who like something a bit different. Recent ‘guests’ have been Skinners – Keel Over, Exmoor Gold, Greene King – Abbot Ale, Hop Back – Summer Lightning and Cottage – SS Great Britain.
A delicious range of bar snacks and meals are available or you can eat in the informal restaurant instead. |
