Because we are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cawsand and the Square is a restricted parking area. You may only park temporarily to drop off luggage etc. The main Cawsand car park is only a 2 minute walk from the Cross Keys and is situated at the top of the hill before you drop down towards the Square. Parking charges are applicable between 9am and 4pm.
We might be in the Forgotten Corner of Cornwall but we are easily accessible from major routes into the county.
Via the Tamar Bridge: - Approach Plymouth on the A38 and follow the signs to Liskeard. Cross the Tamar Bridge, stay on the A38 passing through Landrake and Tideford to Trerulefoot roundabout.
Take the first exit to the A374 to Torpoint and Mount Edgcumbe. Approximately 2 miles beyond the village of Polbathic turn right on to the B3247 and follow the signs to Millbrook and Mount Edgcumbe. Drive straight through Millbrook ignoring village centre signs.
At the top of the hill turn right to Kingsand & Cawsand, and after about half a mile follow the road to the right following the signs to Cawsand.
Drive around the top of the village and a few 100 yards after passing Cawsand Fort bear left. Continue driving past the entrance to the car park and straight down to Cawsand Square. The Cross Keys will be facing you.
Via the Torpoint Ferry:- Take the A38 to Plymouth and leave at the Manadon junction following signs to Torpoint. Take the ferry and drive through Torpoint on the A374 to the village of Anthony (3 miles). Bear left towards Millbrook/Whitsand Bay and continue until you reach a T junction. Turn left towards Whitsand Bay and then take a right turning along the coast road. Follow the coast road through Freathy until you come to Cawsand. Continue down the hill to reach Cawsand Square, passing the main Cawsand car park on your left.
